Should I hire a lawyer for forgery case or will PP appear for me

We closed a case by compromise with my aunt family and had give sketch of the parts given to them to the court my aunt's family got the sketch prepared by govt surveyor and got the lands transferred to their name now I found my aunt family has forged my signature in the sketch document and got it changed it is not same as what we have agreed upon in court. I plan to lodge a police complaint for forgery but will I have to hire a lawyer for the case or will PP be appearing for me.
Dear Sir,
Yes, you can lodge complaint with Police and get handwriting expert report to establish that your signature is forged. If Police registered FIR it would be looked after by Public Prosecutor otherwise you have to file Private Complaint through your private lawyer. Further, you may file contempt application before Civil Court for forging your signature and wrongly preparing sketch map in the Court which accepted your compromise petition.
