Can section 306 can be settled/compromised in lok adalat?
If FIR is filed under section 306 of IPC, then case can not be compromised as it is a serious criminal offence. You have to apply for bail for now and co-operative with police in the investigation. Lok adalaat is for trifle offences and civil matters to be settled.

Has sec. 306 of IPC is offence which is non - compoundable by law. It cannot be settled or compromised in Lok Adalat although both the parties agree to settle the matter amicably. You have put complainant witness and other related witnesses in witness box and have to hostile the witnesses to settle the matter.
