Request for Legal Assistance Regarding False Allegation and Defamation

I am a university student, currently in my 3rd year, and my ex-roommate who is a Muslim has made a false allegation that I was drinking during Ramzan, which I was not, and he claims that he has made a recording of it and gave it to the warden. What do I do? Any help, please.

hi first need to see whether any formal cimplaint was given in your case and then whether the warden had took any action in this matter and based on that you could proceed accordingly in this matter and plan accordingly

If the issue persists, you have the right to file a case under Section 499 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Defamation occurs when a person makes an imputation with the intention of harming another's reputation.
