Query related to Court hearing on a closed case

27-Sep-2023 (In Criminal Law)
Hi, I was mugged in Bangalore in 2011 and registered an FIR for stolen wallet, gold chain and fraudulent card transactions. I was given a gold lump of equivalent weight after a few days and the case was closed. I quit the job and moved to Mumbai since and 6 years later getting a police phone call from Bangalore about some court hearing on the case which I thought was long closed. Is this possible or there is something fishy and do I actually need to be present there. There was no communication with the police in all these years. Thanks.

What kind of case was lodged by police as you were mugged. They must have filed robbery case per your statement and must have filed FIR. But you have mentioned that gold lump of equivalent weight ? by whom it was given did police successfully chased culprits after your complaint and gave ? this statement of yours has to be clarified ? You have mentioned police closed the case ? then you must have collected B-Report from them did you ? Which police station it is What is the FIR No. How can the concerned police call you after the closure of case and after so many years ? Consult us through law ratto team.
