I have filed a criminal cases on my ex bf through police FIR in 2018 u/s 354,354d and 504 ipc and court issued summon to me on 2019 , i recorded the pw1 statement and next date is fixed for cross examination as it is pending from accused . After that I don t appear in court till 2025. Now I want to disposed off the case but there is no summon received for cross examination . Now what to do my address also change and no information about the case and even date not know to me
Since you have already given your PW1 statement, the case is now fixed for your cross examination. Because you changed your address, the court summons may not have reached you, which is why you did not receive any further notice. The case will still be pending in the same court and the next date can be confirmed only by checking the court record.
If you want to close or withdraw the case, you need to appear before the court and give a statement that you no longer wish to continue the proceedings. After your statement, the court will decide whether to dispose of the matter. You should visit the concerned court, update your new address in the case file, and find out the current status so that no adverse order is passed in your absence
From the facts you shared, your situation is far more serious than you think.
You filed a criminal case under sections 354, 354D, and 504 IPC — these are serious offences against a woman, and once PW-1 (your statement) is recorded, the case does not simply “stop” because you stopped appearing.
Why your case is legally risky right now
Your non-appearance since 2019 can lead to:
• NBW (Non-Bailable Warrant)
• Closure of prosecution evidence
• Court treating you as “hostile”
• Possible dismissal of complaint for non-prosecution
Your address change is not an excuse in criminal matters.
Summons may have gone to your old address, and you may already have proceedings pending without your knowledge.
Courts do not dispose sexual offence cases casually.
You cannot simply “withdraw” it.
There is a legal procedure that must be done properly, or it will backfire.
What must be done — but ONLY through a lawyer
Before anything else, I need to:
Trace your case file number through district court system
Check:
• whether NBW or bailable warrants are issued
• what stage the case is at
• whether your cross-examination date is still pending or closed
• any direction passed by the Magistrate in your absence
Only after checking the file, we can take the correct step:
• Application for recall
• Application for compounding (if allowed)
• Application for disposal on special grounds
• Application to prevent coercive action
• Application for settlement (if applicable)
• Filing a 482 petition before High Court (if needed)
One mistake here can cause criminal liability against you, so do not attempt anything yourself.
Without checking the file status, any advice will be wrong
Even a single wrong step may result in:
• arrest warrant
• reopening of evidence
• perjury risk
• court refusing to entertain your application
• case dragging for years again
If you actually want this case disposed safely
I can resolve this for you completely, including:
• Tracing the case
• Checking the current status in the court
• Filing applications on your behalf
• Managing the entire disposal legally
• Preventing any warrant or coercive order
• Filing a High Court petition if required
All work can be done without you travelling or appearing initially, through authorized representation.

case may dismissed when you will appear before of court at given date through summon. You can check on online platform of court application where it is well notification about date of court .
or you can come on any date to visit office of court where it has been filed, check the next date of appearance.
you cannot start the process of disposing your case on your own.
either you forget your case and let the law take it your own course. just live your life. you will not suffer any loss or face problem. trial will still take place either with or without your cross examination, as the criminal cases are between state and the accused.
Quashing of case can be initiated by the accused only. he can get the case quashed from High court on the basis of compromise with you
