Punching a guy for making threats

A guy ask me where can he find drugs so i told him to leave and he then came back again so i told him to leave so after i did that he was making threats about hitting me,so i punched him and after three days he is calling me which i do not pick up and he texted me saying he is going to put me in jail.
How do i repond to this matter
urgently you need to file a complaint before the police station. if you have physical injury you should consult the doctor and you can submit the medical report before the police station. if he files a complaint first on the police station that will take advantage of him. So filing the complaint is the best solution.
