Police Raid on Nightclub: Career Impact ?

23-Mar-2026 (In Criminal Law)
If police raid a nightclub/pub & register FIR under sections 270, 292, 296 of BNS, 2023 & 7(1) of Immoral Trafficking Act, what to do? Offences are bailable, tried summarily (3 months imprisonment). Will it impact career, police verification, govt/corporate employment, & passport issuance? Key points: - Bailable offences - Summary trial - Minor punishment (up to 3 months) - Potential impact on career & police verification

If you are made accused then you need to get bail even for the minor punishment such as 3 months if you want you can file for discharge application after filing of n FIR application for cancellation of FIR in High Court that to can be done after the filing of chargesheet

These offences are bailable. You must apply for regular bail. Since it's a summary trial, seek an acquittal or discharge. A conviction may affect police verification for jobs and passports as per the concerned provisions of law.
