police personnel calling and messaging me.
10-Aug-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I got a call girl no. From website. I just sent a Hi on WhatsApp.
1 hour later a man is calling referring himself as police inspector of x station. He is saying the call girl is arrested with her 9 girls. And it was dcp sir who replied you on whatsapp from her number.
He is saying pay lawyers fee 5k and 1k for him. He will not file the case.
I paid him.
After 2 days he is again calling continuosly.saying it's urgent.
I am scared, I didn't even go to the call girl.
Kindly help.
You need to check the veracity of the call and make a help from local police station as no police DCP will call you and charge unnecessarily. Mere sending Hi on a WhatsApp number won’t bind you for any criminal offence. For any further legal assistance please feel free to contact

this is a clear case of extortion. the person calling you, whether he is a police officer or not cannot take money from you by putting you in fear of something. this itself is a criminal offence. you may choose to ignore the person or report him to the police, if the harassment is intolerable.

This is all scam ..no police office asks money like this ..they r gang of people ..u must get the apprehension complaint drafted n be safe ..they are fraud calls no need to worry but u hv to escalate …
