You should file a complaint before the higher official(SP/Commissioner), if the concerned officer failed to take appropriate steps regarding your complaint; if in case, the higher official also failed to take necessary action, then you could approach the court based on jurisdiction and file a petition (FIR DIRECTION) under section 175 of BNSS along with substantial evidence to support your case. And even weeks after obtaining the said FIR direction through court, if the police officials failed to take any step regarding the Court’s order(try to ensure that the despatch was served with the concerned police station); then file a non compliance petition before the same court. I hope you could get appropriate reliefs based on these procedures.

You should immediately file a police complaint under Sections 307 (attempt to murder) and 279/337 IPC for rash and negligent act, with full details of the incident. If the police do not act, you can approach the Judicial Magistrate under Section 156(3) CrPC for direction to register FIR. Also, collect medical reports, witness statements, or CCTV footage if available. Legal action is the right path to ensure justice. Advocate Arjun Saravanan Rajendra Law Office LLP

You must immediately file a detailed criminal complaint before the jurisdictional police station under Sections 307 IPC (attempt to murder) and Section 279/337 IPC (rash and negligent act causing hurt), stating the intent and incident clearly. If the police refuse to register FIR, you can file a petition under Section 156(3) CrPC before the Magistrate seeking direction to register and investigate. Simultaneously, gather all available evidence (CCTV, witness, photos) and request police protection if there’s a threat.
