Paid fine for gambling in court now selected for govt job

Sir I payrd fine in court by gambling of 150 rupees.now I am selected for govt.job.so I am eligible for this job or not.if I mention this case what happens .this gambling incident occur away from our local police station.please give to me a better advise.I am worried so much about it

Don't worry about your job, these type of offenses are not issue.. mostly gambling deals by the special Act under state legislation . you are not mentioned your state, however if you are belonging to any of the Telugu state ,as per AP gambling Act,1974 your query shall not affect to your job. thank you ... have a good day..

Dear, As you said that you have paid fine in the court, then the court might have absolved you from the charges and set you free. You are eligible for govt job. However your selection to the job will depend on the discretion of the concerned govt department where you applied for the job as some departments may not recruit people with past criminal record whereas some departments may recruit people based on their current status only. However, personally I feel that as you were involved in a petty case which is closed now, you may be considered for govt job.
