Need advice on section 324

Dear Sir, My father was beaten by our relative, with iron road on head, i have put complaint on near police station.They registered complaint under section 324. Already 12 days is over,Still they are not arrested concerned person.Will they send that accused person to the court or else can i go through any legal adviser

if an FIR has been registered, then police will necessarily need to arrest the person.However since the offence u/s 324 is cognizable and bailable , in all likely hood the accused might have been granted bail in the police station itself.
So you need to check with the police on action taken by them.
