My signed blank Cheque Misused by my partner

08-Feb-2025 (In Criminal Law)
I had a furniture business with my partner. I have kept few blank signed cheque for business conveniences. But now I came to know that my partner has misused/given those cheques without my consent to pay off his personal expenses. ( Actually he took from his uncle by via NetBanking Rs.25 lakhs.) After bouncing off those cheques his uncle has sent us legal notice u/s 138 of NI ACT. Will it not be a criminal offence like forgery as cheques are used without my consent?

Yes. It would be. You should immediately take legal recourse against him and lodge a criminal case against him. Furthermore you should also reply to the legal notice and not leave it without a reply.
