25-Feb-2025 (In Criminal Law)
My friend was caught shoplifting at store. He paid the penalty x2 value of the product and they asked him to write an apology letter with his fingerprint and let him go. Will they take any further actions?

MYSELF SUGGEST YOU TO REGISTER FIR UNDER BNS AND BNSS ACT AS A YOUR FRIEND HAS BEEN EXTORTED BY SHOPKEEPER AND HAS PAID DOUBLE AMOUNT OF PRODUCT WHICH IS UNFAIR AND UNJUST SO MAKE CALL TO POLICE. THANK YOU. ADVOCATE SUBODH INGOLE.

As your friend was caught Shoplifting, that is a serious charge. Shoplifting, also known as retail theft, is the act of taking goods or merchandise from a store without paying for them. It is a form of theft and is considered a crime in most jurisdictions. The concerned Store from which Shoplifting was done, may file a Police Complaint and convert that Complaint into FIR.
