Unless he aids or instigates her by any means to commit suicide, he will not punishable with any offence. Before proceeding to worry about legal consequences, in my opinion, your friend
should take some preventive steps to avoid such a situation.
As precaution, if she has suicidal tendencies, it's better to inform NGOs that deal with counseling and prevention of suicide.
