01-Oct-2024 (In Criminal Law)
My female fellow colleagues once told me on duty that she have feelings of love for me ,i denied her and told her that I am married. Although she knew that . She seek apologies to me next day . After some day in evening duty
She forcefully tried to hug me i pushed her and scolded her after some time she got anxiety attack. I informed to my superior about this without her knowledge .Now what should I do to ensure more safety from her as i think she will try to defame me or probably try suicide?
It's good that you've informed your superior. Make sure this report is documented in writing. Avoid any personal interactions with her and maintain professional boundaries. If she continues to behave inappropriately or you fear defamation, consider formally reporting the issue to HR. In case of further escalation, consult a lawyer about preventive measures. Keep records of all communications and any witnesses who can support your case.
Hello, You should promptly file a formal police complaint at the nearest police station, clearly stating that the individual in question is engaging in acts of provocation and harassment. Additionally, you must highlight that she is making blackmailing threats, including threats of suicide. It is advisable that this complaint be drafted by a lawyer to ensure it is written in appropriate legal terms, increasing the likelihood that the police will register an FIR. Furthermore, you are also advised to submit a written complaint to the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC).
