Money looted for artist registration for a movie project

13-Apr-2025 (In Criminal Law)
I was offered to sing a song for a movie project with a signed agreement via email. As part of this I was asked to do artist registrations and provide my registration number for the contract. It's been over a year and I haven't received my registration documents and the guy seems to be faking his responses by giving me false office address and asking me to visit the office while no such place exists. He even said that he doesn't work with them anymore so it's not his responsibility.

You can file a police complaint against the suspect. As the communication has been made via email you can file a complaint in cyber police station. Cyber police station has been established to counter these types of cyber fraud. You can also file a complaint to higher officer if police does not register your complaint. If nothing work outs for you, you can always file a complaint in court.
