MACT case registered:S/C 237 & 339

I had hit an old man on the road. i was driving and the old man while walking through the footpath stumbled onto the front of my car. No serious injuires was caused but still his family filed an FIR against me under sections of 237 and 339. I have comprehensive insurance for my car and I have valid driving license as well. Now the problem is one police man keeps calling me and says I have to come to court on this day and that day and then again he keeps changing the dates. Also he introduced me to one advocate and the advocate told me I have to pay him Rs.2000 as advocate charges. Below are my questions 1: How do I get to know the exact date that I have to visit the court? Whom do I contact here 2: Is Rs2000 charged by the advocate justified or is it too much? 3: Can I plead guilty on the first day at the court and can the case be closed on the same day? The police man was telling me about Rs.5000 I have to pay as bail amount and that it will be refunded when the case is closed.
