Lost chain_FIR Lost chain_FIR complaint

My wife lost her chain on 22nd feb 2019 and next day i went to police station and asked them to file FIR but the police didn't not register and then i kept on asking them finally they gave the FIR copy on 10th march 2019, in the FIR they metioned reason for delay of FIR is --My wife had fallen sick. i want to this would cause any problems like FIR would be closed

Dear Sir, Normally police do not take interest for investigation. However make them to investigate by lodging representations before Police Commissioner and broad casting the said item on social channels and name of the police station etc but it carries some risk for you.

1. It is the case of cognizable. You reported as early as possible. The delay may even could be taken grounds to file 'B' report to close the FIR. 2. I suggest you to approach a lawyer to take-up your issue to court to get it corrected immediately.
