Hello,
Today I had a visit to a company's office inside a commercial building. I tried to enter the building in my car and the guard told me that you can park the vehicle outside the building in the pavement area. I parked my vehicle on his advise. When I came back from the office, my car got picked up by police and I had to pay 620 rs. fine to the police as per section 122/177 act. When I approached the guard and the mall official, they started lying that they informed at the office about the vehicle. They also have a CCTV at the spot where the guard can be seen getting my car parked on the footpath. My question is 'can i take a legal action on them for the fine imposed on me. '
You can ofcourse take legal action against the Mall/building administration with a prayer to recover the fine amount.
However, the success of the case would depend on the evidence you bring to the court so as to prove their liability and your innocence. Further, the minimum amount that you might spend in the case would be minimum 15 times the fine you have paid.
