Job offer scam, the party took Rs. 24k and didn't kept promise.

I got scammed in year 2015, I was in my last year my post. grad course. I had registered onto a well known job portal during that time.A delhi based party asked me to subsribe to certain packages onto their portal in exchage for the assistance in getting a job offer. I paid something around Rs. 24 thousand in the process. Asked me to wait for a couple of days, and later were unavailable. After exact 10 days of this incident I received a single page letter congratulating me on subscibing to their services. My question is can I still file a complaint against the said person/party today after 8 yrs.

While eight years is a long period but it does not stop you from filing a case 1. You should send a legal notice to the company with whom you had subscribe for the job availing services 2. In the legal notice you should mention and state how you have been defrauded by the company. 3. It is important that it should not come in the legal notice that it was of the civil nature otherwise eight years will come into picture which will act as a barrier as per the law of limitation. 4. After the legal notice is sent, then you should file a FIR against the Company
