Is lucky draw for sales promotion of business legal?

I am a garment retailer and wants to boost my business, for such purpose wants to organisr one sales promotion scheme. In this scheme a customer who purchases a goods of Rs 1000/- shall get one lucky draw coupon.The scheme ll be runed for 6 months duration, after completion of 6 months a lucky draw ll be cinducted before the coupon holders and the prices which annouced before ll be declared and distributed. My query is 1) Is this scheme is legal or not.(2) if legal then who ll be the permitting autharity andvunder which law the permission ll be given

Lucky draw scheme is completely legal in India. No permission is required from any authority and you are completely free to decide prize money. You can hire a marketing agency to run and promote your brand activity based on lucky draw competition.

Yes it is legal and but as per consumer protection law you give lucky draw coupon and if anyone one win this draw then it's your responsibility to give the price to the customer who win. As per consumer law
