Yes, you can apply for a government job like Junior Assistant in Allahabad High Court (AHC), provided you meet all eligibility criteria such as educational qualification, typing speed, and age limit as mentioned in the official notification. However, if you have any pending criminal case or conviction, it may affect your eligibility depending on the nature and outcome of the case. The final selection depends on the character verification and background check done during the recruitment process. You are advised to go through the recruitment notification thoroughly and consult a lawyer if there is any legal complication involved.

As the case is still pending before the court, you are not considered a convict and therefore remain eligible to apply for government positions such as the post of Junior Assistant in the Allahabad High Court. There is no legal bar on filling out the application form or appearing for the examination. However, if any declaration regarding pending cases is required at any stage of the recruitment process, it is advisable to disclose the information truthfully.
