If I gave my testimony in court,it will effect on my carrier or not?

I am staying in jammu doing my masters.in my class one of my friend arrested on the charges of rape on 12 August 2024.But actually he is with me and my friends.may i go to court and give my testimony or not.if give my testimony in court,it is effect on my carrier or not? Could you please tell me sir
this is very earlier for go to court. because investigation not complete yet and police not filed complete charge sheet. so on this situation you can go to higher police office and submit your content with affidavit in favour of your friend. and request him to file all paper in investigation. hopefully investigation officer consider all facts.
