Since this is your first-time offence, the court generally considers leniency if there was no accident or harm caused. You should appear in court with a lawyer, express remorse, and request for compounding of the offence or minimum penalty. Courts often impose a fine or brief counselling/community service for first-time offenders. Keep all medical and procedural documents safe.

Dear client as per your query, since this is your first time offence and you have duly complied with the breath analyzer test, you can expect leniency from the court. The court may impose a fine and a warning not to repeat the offence in future. The court may also permit compounding that is settling the matter by paying a fine without any trial. It's best to hire a criminal advocate who can guide you as chargesheet has been filed. feel free to contact us
