I had filed a fir against a person I even went to give my statement to

Now the hearing vl h starting what is the procedure to withdraw the case
well if the offence which you have done is a compoundable offence then it can be withdrawn before the court through settlement if it is a non compoundable offence then it cannot be withdrawn. I hope you have understood my point. May God bless you.

if it is a coumpoundable offence, you can witdraw the case directly by filing an application. if it is a non compoundable section, you can only turn hostile and give evidence that will eventually turn into acquittal.
