I got scammed and gave a cheque to a scammer

I recently saw an online ad of a plot for a very cheap price and contacted the person and saw the property and shown intereast in buying, but it was a scammer who showed me fake documents and asked for a token amount.ni gave him a cheque of 50000/- which was on hold and told him to give me copy of further documents needed to apply for a loan and only after that i will release it.nNow he made a false case against me in court that i took cash from him and gave him a hold cheque nwhat can i do here

you should file a criminal complaint against him before the police or judicial magistrate. you should also go to challenge the proceedings against him in session court and High court. you have a good defence in your case and there are bright chances for discharge/ acquittal.
