In my opinion file withdrawal petition before the court for withdraw the same. But without detail discussion and document review proper consult is not possible. Proper consult is possible only after detail discussion.

in your case since both the offences are compoundable with the permission of the court it wouldn't be possible to withdraw it without going to the court. although here going to the court would only mean to get the application for withdrawal sanctioned by the court. this will not be a prosecution proceeding.

dear client, once an FIR has been registered, it will stand as it is until the case is contested n disposed of or the HC quashes the same... if both the parties do not want to proceed further after the registration of FIR, then the accused may file a quashing in the HC n FIR will be quashed after the recording of the statement of the complainant..
