How to seek protection for family without being bullied by the media

A friend in India has a criminal case charged by Kerala state however the media has been deeply engaged in openly debating about the case in the new hour without facts. This has created a very difficult environment for the family of the accused to live infringing on their right to live. What are the option for that family to seek protection to continue with their life without being bullied by the media, then public.

Apart from other states of India, discussions on TV Channels are to high in Kerala and the reason behind it is well understood for all !!. So far there were many such unhealthy discussions were "ON" for many days continuously even on small incidents or cases,no victims raised their voice Legally (R) Legally on these serious issues which if basically violation of the existing provisions of law. Any how, it too nice to see such a query and obviously, you can take up the issue by way of litigation.If need more clarification, please feel free to revert back to me.

The friend can file a counter case-criminal against the Kerala State and the media on these very same mentioned issues.Also seek from court Police protection and a Writ against the Kerala State and all involved media houses.
