Hi,

The Panchayats (Extension to the Scheduled Areas) Act 1996 is a law enacted by Government of India to enable the Gramsabhas of the tribal regions to self govern and protect the tribal people' s natural resources. Further, Panchayats (Extension to the Scheduled Areas) Act 1996 decentralized more power in the hands of the Gramsabha or the Panchayat. The powers that can be exercised by the Gramsabha under this act relate to the tribes’ customs, traditions, religion, land and mineral resources. Panchayats (Extension to the Scheduled Areas) Act 1996 made the Gramsabhas independent and competent to preserve and safeguard the customs and the traditions of the tribal people and community resources. Therefore, if you have any issues relating to your land, contact the concerned Gramsabha or panchayat for resolving the issues.

Your question is vague .You have stated that you have lodged a complaint against the rowdies but you have not mentioned that the FIR has been registered or not .If the FIR has been registered under what sections???

Hello,

What you would need to do is follow up with the police complaint that you have lodged. Give the police all the required evidence to aid them in their investigation.

you could also consider filing a suit for injunction restraining them from interfering with the peaceful possession of your property.

All the best.

HELLO,

After preferring complaint in this issue you have to pursue the matter for few days only. Since your dispute is purely civil in nature, if there is no action from the jurisdictional Police you have to approach Advocate Only. Since your property has been (attached ) encroached/ illegally taken in possession by the unwanted social elements, the police cannot give remedy. But the police officers will keep the matter without any solution till you and the rowdy elements sufficiently greeze their palm. Finally they will reveal this is a civil matter go to court for appropriate remedy.
