How to obtain my chargesheet while at a different city.

Hi, How can I obtain the chargesheet of my crpc case when I am not at the city where the case is registered ? What's the procedure ? And can my advocate pick up a copy showing is wakalatnama for my case on my behalf . Do I have to be present in the same city to pick it up in person ?

Have you received summons from the Court? Do also check through a local Advocate whether summons was issued and if it has not reached to you.
If you have received summons to appear in the Court as accused, you are entitled to a copy of the Chargesheet, Statements and relevant documents and the trial would not begin without supplying all these documents to you.

If you want charge-sheet your advocate can take from court if it is submitted by police in the court. You need not to be there for this. Your advocate will be able to take it from the court. Do not need to worry.
