How to deal with criminal issue regarding possession of marijuana

Sir. My brother own a taxi. The driver carrying passengers without knowing that they r carrying marijuana around 50kg. Now the driver is under custody. There is no link of my brother with all this. How legally we deal with all this.?

Though you are the owner of the said taxi a criminal offence / case must stage against him . Hence you are advise to pray for bail in the high Court of Orissa . During trial you will be free from all the offence

As per the NDPS Act possession and recovery of marijuana conviction will be punished with 10 yrs imprisonment .You have to defend his case with a good Criminal lawyer to acquit him.First check with the police for evidence.

50 kgs are commercial quantity , which attract severe penal provision. as Your case seems to be a matter of 3rd party involvement and commercial transport veichle your case may have some marrits. Consult a lawyer near by you for better suggestions ,

Need to see the FIR copy. Marijuana 50 kg is a serious offence. You will need to get Anticipatory bail for your brother. However unless I see the FIR copy/PR, it won't be possible to suggest any action.
