With respect to if the Husband can file for quashing? yes absolutely. However, wheather the husband shall get an order in favour totally depends on the facts and the position of law in the respective case. kindly, connect in order to discuss about the matter in length.

Quashing of FIR against husband is not automatic. Mediation participation alone is insufficient. High Court will see whether there was a voluntary, complete settlement with wife. If wife now objects and denies consent, Court may refuse quashing and hear matter on merits.

Legal Effect of an MOU Signed in Court Mediation An MOU signed by both parties during Court-referred mediation is not a casual document. If it was: Voluntarily signed Signed after understanding the terms Recorded by the Mediator / placed before the Court then it has strong legal value. Courts treat such MOUs as binding settlements, unless serious defects are proved. 2. Can She Object After Signing? Yes, she can file objections, but objections alone are not enough.
