Hello sir from your query I presume that there is matrimonial dispute going on and is pending in court. If your son-in law is misbehaving, threatening, using abusive language or causing harassment you cam immediately file a written complaint to nearest police station with complete facts and details for initiating action against the accused or your son-in-law. police can initiate action against him for maintaining peace under criminal procedure code or file FIR if he is threatening u/s 506 IPC. If the incident happen in the court room you can bring it to the knowledge of judge for appropriate action.

Firstly, a senior citizen can take help of the local senior citizen cell/old age homes or NGO’s. Secondly, he can lodge an FIR in the jurisdictional Police station against his son in law and if the Police do not register an FIR you can get done through the court of the Magistrate. If there is any voluntary hurt caused to senior citizen then FIR can be lodged under section 323 of IPC which deals with the punishment for voluntarily causing hurt, otherwise section 504 and 323 of IPC can be revoked which deals with intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace and criminal intimidation respectively.
