Gave money to agency for getting admission now agency is closed

One agency helped me to get admission in college outside India they took money from me. but after few months there was no response from their side and their office was closed when we went there. what legal action can we take in this situation
Please collect all the evidence ,take a snap of there office including sign board ,collect any other alternate address ,including directors/managers,keep all the documents ready ,and take help from the lawyer to send them a legal notice at each address mentioned in there brochure.

CRIMINAL - If no admission done then it is a clear cut case of cheating u/s 420 IPC and criminal breach of trust u/s 409 IPC. You can either get FIR registered or pursue a private criminal complaint against the offenders. Most important is the proof of payment and all other documentation which shall be used as evidence. The complaint should be well drafted. Prompt action is required as such offenders often flee and go underground.
CIVIL - you can also file civil suit / summary suit for recovery of amount paid, interest thereupon and damages.
