HI Since the fine is paid , there is no criminal case pending against the person. The status of the person is that of being discharged from criminal offense. the person can get a job (IAS,IPS, Central or state government). No worries.

Hello, A person charged with criminal offence may appear for the civil services examination for the posts of I.A.S.and I.P.S. but he needs to provide complete detail of the cases filed against him in the self declaration form supplied by the authorities. The authorities will verify the person's credentials and eligibility before sending him the formal appointment letter. If the person is convicted after the trial, the authorities have rights to refuse sending the appointment letter to the person.
