Forgery by educational institution

I have taken admission on 11/5/2021 in an educational institution by giving full amount of 45000, At the time of admission they have told that exam and certification will be provided in 6months. even till now they have not sheduled exam. Can i go for a compensation along with refund for wasting my years.
