FIR over forged sale agreement

02-Jul-2023 (In Criminal Law)
We are conducting business as tenant and during this time we had sale agreement with the owner to purchase the building. The original owner suppressing our agreement sold the building to other tenant living in first floor. Now we have filed civil suit on both of them in this agreement. The original party has set himself exparte and where as the new owner has filed criminal case against us saying that it is a fabricated document. Can the new owner file any criminal case against me for any cause?

In that case you first have to approach court and seek anticipatory bail for yourself because the FIR has already been lodged. only after that you can prove everything else. the question that your new owner may or may not file any criminal case against you comes after securing anticipatory bail
