Filing false cases and trying to extort money with help frompanchayat

16-Apr-2025 (In Criminal Law)
I complained to the panchayat regarding a dangerous tree next to my house in Jan 2024 . The panchayat didn't act upon it and still the same. The owner of this tree did something to another trees near to my house and it dried up in Mar 2024. She then blamed me that i did it and filed a police complaint and started demanding money . Police closed the case as there as no evidence linking to me . She kept on filing false case before women's commission . She has political backing her.

You can initiate legal action at multiple levels against the individual and the Panchayat. Proper legal assistance can help resolve your issue at the earliest. The Panchayat is duty-bound to act in accordance with the Panchayat Raj Act. You can also seek assistance from the appellate authorities above the Panchayat
