Ex husband questioning my chastity publicly

10-Aug-2025 (In Criminal Law)
My ex husband has emailed me, my husband, parents, siblings, in laws and distant relatives questioning and doubting paternity of my daughter born after my lawful wedding to my second husband. Can I sue him for defamation as my child is legally and biologically my husbands child and he has no business commenting on me or my minor child

Yes, you can file Defamation as well as cases under section 79 and 85 of Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita. Your ex husband cannot write emails like this. You can also seek compensation for mental harassment from your husband from court and get stay against him.

Well first get the DNA Test done, collect evidence for the Court and from Society, then, you can file a Defamation Case against your Ex Husband who is spreading rumours about you and your child by raising questions on paternity of your child!
