Email Threat by person who owes me money

I'm receiving email threats by a person who owes me money claiming that I'm defaming him for taking money and he will file a law suit against me if I don't apologize to him. I have spoken about him on phone with 2 people who have given him money as well. Is talking on phone about someone a crime ?Can he take legal action against me ? BTW he is a registered lawyer
Dear Sir,
Irrespective of his status as Advocate you need not worry about his threatening calls and just block his number and if necessary lodge a complaint with Bar Council of India and the State Bar Council so that a warning can be issued to him for defaming you and threatening you. Thus, you will be saved.
