what you want.... it's not clear from your question. she has a number of options for giving a hard answer to his husband. She can lodge First Information Report to consern police station as well as she can file complaint before the court.

please specify the details about the harassment whether it is physical or mental aur monitory weather your friend is working somewhere aur adjuster simple housewife does your friend have children? how many years have been passed after the marriage? actually the remedy against domestic violence or harassment by husband comes under the domestic violence act and a case can be filed before the concerned magistrate or the special Court deputed for dealing with the domestic violence cases.
