12-Aug-2023 (In Criminal Law)
A criminal case has been filed on me in 2015 and finally judgement came to my favour as it is proven false case in 2016. Now i want to apply for passport. Do i need to submit any documents like judgement copy or letter from court? If yes, then I dont remember the case file number. What should I do?

Hi Since you were acquitted by the trial court, then there is no criminal case pending against you and you can apply for the passport. You do not need to file copies of judgment to the court as you were acquitted/discharged in the case. However if you need copies of judgments, you can always apply for copy of judgments by mentioning your name, police station which pursued the case. the court section will be able to help you in tracing the judgment copy.

if you dont have judgement copy you need to contact your advocate who dealt with your case and for apply of passport you need to have judgement of the same and that will help you to get the passport done.

if the case is get on acquittal there is no need to mention the case in any of your documents and there is no need to file a copy of the judgment the above is necessary if the case is ended in conviction and got acquittal in appeal stage only
