Does a criminal case affect my eligibility for government jobs

I am a employee in my village some opponents filed a case under section 376/511,306,pocso7&8.now the case is in court chargesheet not filed yet.i want to prepare for Civil's but in some websites reveled that a person with criminal background won't apply for Civil's pls clarify me.what is my way. Am I eligible or not for civils

Hi
You have an option to quash the FIR.
There is NO restriction in you writing exams for civil services.
However at the time of you attending the final interview, there should be no criminal record pending against you . in order to have no criminal record pending against you you need to get the case quashed u/s 482 cr.p.c at High court.
