difference between sec 308 and sec 320

provision of 308 ipc and 320 what is the difference between . How to prove grievous hurt into simple hurt

Sec 302 is for murdering a person and sec 308 is for culpable homicide. In second one if by your act on certain provocation a person dies then you will be tried for 308 which is for 3 years or 7 years jail imprisonment. And for 302 is life imprisonment or death sentence

Section 308 IPC is for Attempt to commit Culpable homicide for which accused can be punished by imprisonment for tree years and fine, and section 320 is for Grievous hurt . In this section Grievous hurt is of eight different categories .

308 is for culpable homicide which means that if due to unintentional acts of yours a person is dead or injured then imprisonment is for 3 years or 7years. Sec 320 is for grievous hurt of a part of body due to your act. You have to study the medical documents of the deceased person and if the injuries are not as per serious under section 320 u can prove that this case wnt come under 320 it is a simple injury.
