Defaming business over Whatsapp

19-Jun-2023 (In Criminal Law)
Hi Everyone, Recently I have got news and screenshots shared from some of our clients. That one of our competitors is spreading false news by sharing that we are over charging them, colluding with the company’s employees for our gains which is more than the quote rate mentioned. Due to which are business getting hampered. So what shall we do. I just need a legal counsel whether we should give them a notice or lodge a police complaint. Whether screenshot of whatsapp chat would be admissible or no

You can file a criminal defamation complaint against your competitor for spreading misinformation. It is necessary that you share some more details so that I can assist you further in the matter and advise you accordingly.
