I am being defamed by some people of my society, who cyberbully me on society's WhatsApp group. They have threatened to attack me. They also have defamed me publicly offline as well. They keep harassing me.

U can file a criminal complaint case,before the court of Judicial magistrate first class against them under the relevant provisions of law. Also u can file a civil remedy of creating nuisance against them in the court or Sdm /Collector .Contact me for any help.

आपके द्वारा बताई गई स्थिति गंभीर है और कानून इसके लिए स्पष्ट उपाय देता है। सबसे पहले, WhatsApp ग्रुप के सभी मैसेज, धमकियों के स्क्रीनशॉट, वॉइस नोट, कॉल डिटेल्स और गवाहों के नाम सुरक्षित रखें। यह साक्ष्य आगे बहुत महत्वपूर्ण होंगे। आप ऐसे व्यक्तियों के खिलाफ IPC की धारा 499/500 (मानहानि), 506 (आपराधिक धमकी), 507, 509 तथा आईटी एक्ट की धारा 66C/66D/67 (स्थिति के अनुसार) के अंतर्गत शिकायत कर सकते हैं। नजदीकी पुलिस स्टेशन या साइबर सेल में लिखित शिकायत दें। यदि पुलिस कार्यवाही नहीं करती है, तो आप मजिस्ट्रेट के समक्ष धारा 156(3) CrPC के तहत आवेदन या सीधे निजी परिवाद (Complaint Case) दाखिल कर सकते हैं। साथ ही, सार्वजनिक रूप से बदनाम करने पर आप मानहानि का सिविल दावा (हर्जाने के लिए) भी दायर कर सकते हैं और आवश्यकता होने पर इंजंक्शन/स्टे लेकर आगे की बदनामी रोकी जा सकती है। आपकी सुरक्षा सर्वोपरि है—धमकी की स्थिति में तुरंत पुलिस को सूचित करें।

you can file a complaint before the competent court for defamation. you have 2 remedies available against him. criminal remedy where if find guilty he will be send behind the bars and other is civil remedy where you can seek compensation from him for loss of reputation.
