Convicted in cheque case in lower court, now appeal is running for 1 year in district court. Cheque was passed by local illegal money lender. After long time now FIR was filled against the money lender via court direction. nnNote : Lower court didn't consider the exorbitant interest point.nnTo prove me the exorbitant interest case has to run post judgment only I can prove myself. Is it possible to get stay on my appeal until the judgment from the exorbitant interest case.

Yes there are fair and good chances you can get stay on the proceedings Anyways the interest rate also comes under the succinct of law Read sec 148A of negotiable instruments act 1881 Did you deposit any money prior to appeal , if so there are fair chances of stay Or if the dispute is only with regard to interest rate , the chances of stay is lean
