Confiscation of phone by the school
02-Nov-2024 (In Criminal Law)
My phone has been confiscated by the school. I did not use it or take it out in the school. I had it in my bag as the school wasn’t providing transportation after the extra class in the evening and i had to go back alone bymyseld it was a bit far.But now the school is refusing to give it back. Is it legal?
Absolutely not. They must return the phone to the parents and may take any disciplinary action if they want depending on their by-laws or rules. Please ask them that under which rule or laws they have confiscated and will not return. If they behave in arbitrary manner then you may send them a legal notice.
