Compounding of offence where FIR is filed SUO MOTU by police

Good afternoon respected members,
I have a case registered against me under section 420 by POLICE after taking SUO MOTU COGNIZANCE of the matter.
I wanted to know can this case be compounded?
The case is about online cheating where persons cheated are NOT interested in the case and hence no action has been taken from their side and they are NOT a party to the case.
It is a matter of SUO MOTU COGNIZANCE by POLICE. Please let me know if this case can be compounded.

In this case, compounding is only possible at the trial based on the discretion of the court.
