Complaint Regarding False Allegation of Meter Tampering and Seizure of
26-May-2025 (In Criminal Law)
Today 26th May, a few CESC officials came to my office premises and claimed they were inspecting my electricity meter. They performed a basic test using a bulb and, based on that alone, alleged that the meter was tampered with.
Despite this, they seized my meter and handed me a letter stating that the inspection was done with my permission, which they are now using to justify their actions.
I want to make it very clear:
I have never tampered with the meter.
No update regarding Police case.
If your name appears in FIR, then you need to submit 50 percent of the amount/penalty raised by CESC to get bail. If the amount is high then approach CESC to reduce the amount/penalty to obtain bail from court.
If your name is not in FIR, then go for anticipatory bail before District & Sessions Judge or Calcutta High Court.
